Hard Rock Bet tennis retirement and disqualification rules

Undecided markets are cancelled on a retirement, default or disqualification alike; anything already decided is graded.

Retirement and disqualification are written into the same sentence here, so the cause makes no difference to how you are paid.

The rule, in their words

“In case of retirement, defaulting or disqualification of any player during a contest, all undecided bets will be cancelled. Bets on decided markets stand and are graded accordingly.”

Read and verified on Hard Rock Bet’s own published rules, 2026-10-05. Operators change these without notice, so we re-read them each time this page is updated.

Other markets

Double Result is cancelled if the full statutory number of sets is not completed. Tie-break markets survive a retirement if the tie-break already happened: "If there was a Tie Break in an unfinished event, bets will be valid. If there's no Tie Break in an unfinished event, bets will be cancelled."

Worth knowing

Futures run the opposite way: "If a player retires during a tournament, bets on that player will be graded as lost." A withdrawal inside seven days of the start is cancelled; earlier than that, also graded as lost. Virginia retail rules; the online product publishes per state.

Common questions

Does Hard Rock Bet refund a tennis bet if a player retires?

Yes, for any market not already decided. Retirement, defaulting and disqualification sit in one sentence and all three cancel undecided bets. Already-settled markets stand.

What happens to a Hard Rock Bet tennis futures bet if my player retires?

It is graded as lost, not refunded. That runs opposite to the match rule and is the part most people miss. A withdrawal within seven days of the start is cancelled; earlier than that, also graded as lost.

Does Hard Rock Bet treat a disqualification like a retirement?

Yes - same clause, same settlement, all undecided bets cancelled. That differs from bet365, which settles a disqualification on the player who advances.
